A Downgrade to Paradise

:D Holy fuck! I'm finally downgrading my mac back to leopard...

Snow leopard was actually making my poor old laptop run as slow as a snail with inadequate motor skills.

The only plus was that it freed up some GBs on my hard drive and it loaded videos faster but it kept overheating my mac! I think I'll just keep it on standby the next few years until they work the kinks outta it.

In other news, I JUST BURNT MY TOAST!

I kid you not, best cake I have EVER spawned has just been born... by no means is it the perfect cake, but its still the best damn cake I've made.

Vet.

Ugh, I HATE going to the vet. My cat HATES going to the vet. WE ALL HATE GOING TO THE VET!

But it was an over due trip anyways so my cat got caught up on all his shots and we did an x-ray. He's fine, just twisted his little cat wrist-arm-thing...

Doesn't need a cast but we did end up getting a prescription for some pain meds and some antibiotics. (Holy crap! I spelled "antibiotics" right on my first try! Yes, yes I AM proud of myself. I can't spell. Runs in the family...)

Turns out he got in a brawl with a raccoon.

Huh...

Is death a mind over matter thing? 'Cause once we cleaned my cat up and gave him some treats he seemed perfectly happy. A little worse for wear but happy... before, he was convulsing like crazy!

He might have a broken arm but we won't know until tomorrow because the vet isn't open on sundays, of course...

Technically he should be on his 22nd life, oppose to the regular 9.

Not ready

My cat got in a fight last night and now I think he might be dying.

I got him when I was five years old... I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.

I had a crazy dream last night were I was sporting a mustache! The really weird part about this was that I was profoundly disappointed when I woke up to find that... I didn't have a mustache.

:P Oh, I already knew I would look damn fine with a mustache, too.

In other news, Chloe's birthday is tomorrow but I can't go because I'll be at WORK.

IS A RIDICULOUS TV SHOW.

Me and my in-law stayed up till 3:30 am absorbing it. He... uh, picked up on my inner fangirl squeals. I couldn't help it! Every time I saw Clark and chubbie-cheek Luthor together I lost it!

Of course Lex's dialect didn't help either.

Seriously? Lex had red hair? I'm still in shock. I can't get over the fact that Lex Luthor was a redhead. If that's the case, then I'm happy all of his hair fell out. Red hair!

Jeremy took my fangirlism better than I'd hope. He even started making embarrassing jokes about them. These are the sort of things I would do with Arielle... it's unnerving substituting her with my brother.

We also watched Supernatural. They both LOVED it and wanted to watch more but I was sticking firm to my limit. Jeremy pointed out that Dean talks like him... I'm trying not to let that effect how I view Dean... shudder.

Today I also got a surprise email from Quinton! I haven't heard from him in awhile, it was nice. He's living in Portland now... I think?

Nothing new...

I've been hanging out with my sister a lot more lately. She enjoys it since we've never really had any sisterly bonding time as kids being that we're so far apart in age.

Went to Shotgun Creek 5 times so far this month but I think they're taking down the dam soon. Maybe if the weather's nice I can squeeze another few visits outta it.

I've also been visiting my grandparents a lot this past month as while but I never know what to say to them... striking up a conversation with old people is hard!

Haven't seen any of my friends, but I do keep in contact with them... well, except Addie, of course... not happy with Addie at the moment. Well, more like: not happy with Addie's grumpy husband.

Shelly and Jeremy found out I got Supernatural. So naturally they want to watch it, I already watched the pilot episode because I got it on sale at Fred Meyer's and I had to see if it was good enough to get the other seasons as while... and guess what? It's amazingly awesome, but I promise not to watch pass the pilot and the episode I already saw on TV until you come back!

Spending the night at Shelly and Jeremy's tonight so they can watch the pilot, then we'll switch over to Smallville... btw, after seeing THAT picture I'm NOT going to be able to watch it with a straight face! So we'll see how that goes.

I'm rambling but nothing really exciting has happened lately. But its been nice, I think all that fan fiction has put me into a subdued state.
